Zappi named best company for women, diversity and culture by Comparably

Zappi

Last week, culture and benefits review platform Comparably released its final installment of 2022’s Best Places to Work Awards.

We’re proud and excited to end the year with our being recognized as a top workplace in the following categories:

#8 Best Company Culture

#9 Best Companies for Diversity

#17 Best CEO

#40 Best Companies for Women

This recognition is based on over 15 million data points of anonymous employee feedback from reviews of 70,000 companies in the past year!

Zappi received over 700 employee reviews from its over 300 employees in 2022. Of the hundreds of reviews from every department – from engineering to sales and operations – 96% were positive – with our employees touting our transparent leadership and diverse, inclusive culture.

Our goal is to be one of the most diverse and inclusive organizations on the planet. It’s not enough to make an impact and disrupt an entire industry – we want to go one step further and accomplish our business goals while making an outsized impact on the communities we serve. This focus was foundational to Zappi’s becoming a certified B-Corp in 2022.

We made it: We’re officially a B Corp

Read our article about our journey to successfully becoming a B Corp.

To truly do the best for our communities, it means creating a diverse and equitable culture that facilitates understanding of the challenges faced across gender, race, and socioeconomic differences.

We’re committed to ensuring representation of minoritized groups both in our company, in our research, and on our platform. We do this by engaging in a range of educational initiatives, like programming bootcamps, to extend Zappi’s reach to groups that might otherwise lack access to technology and the skills that enable it. We’re also focused on recruitment to a diverse candidate pool – in-line with census-level representation for each role.

Also important is diversity of thought – after all, consensus slows progress. That’s why we believe that a variety of personality and thinking types – including introverts, extroverts, cynics, optimists, etc – lead to a more successful work environment.

But these goals aren’t met overnight – and not without constant evaluation of our progress. That’s why transparency is essential to hold ourselves accountable.

Zappi encourages regular feedback from our over 300 global employees so we can continue to iterate on our progress toward our broader ambition. Both through regular processes, like quarterly eNPS reports or our 2x annual review process, and always-on processes, like Loop, a Slack app our team built to give and request feedback, we embrace a continuous feedback process to improve.

This feedback doesn’t live in a warehouse somewhere – instead, it’s our CEO and CPO that read every piece of feedback to inform our efforts.

Third-party validation is an integral step in this process. We look to outside sources of information – like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Comparably – to provide a safe space for feedback.

But, don’t just take it from us. Check out these reviews from Zappi employees on Comparably to learn more about our culture, commitment to transparency, and what makes Zappi a great place to work:
