Secrets of Super Bowl ads consumers love

While Super Bowl ads are typically quite creative, we’ve found that on average, they haven’t always been the most effective. But this year was different. US ads on average have a Sales Impact score of 50, but this year’s Super Bowl ads achieved an significantly higher average Sales Impact of 72.

They were also more distinctive (4.0 vs. 3.8), more emotionally intense (16.5 vs. 15.6) and, more humorous than the average US ad (19% laugh reaction vs. 8%).
